Abstract:
Background: Exercise training is associated with improved health outcomes in many populations. It is assumed that exercise activities in the rheumatoid arthritis (RA) population may be reduced as a result of symptoms of the disease. The purpose of this study is survey of long-term effect of regular exercise on inflammatory changes in the RA population. Methods: In a randomized control trial, 30 women with RA randomly assigned to either an exercise (15 patient) and control groups (15 patient), respectively. 8-week program of exercise intensity was 65-75% of maximum heart rate exercise three days per week, each session a period 60 minutes were conducted. A fasting blood sample was collected 24 hours prior to, after 8 weeks and after 2 month of aerobic training from the patients. levels of C-reactive protein, complement proteins C3 and C4 were measured using standard methods. Analyze data at the level of alpha error of 5% was performed using SPSS version 17. Results: Results showed that there was a significant decline in levels of CRP and C4 after 12 weeks of regular in exercise group, but not in the control group. In this research About C3 level no significant difference was observed between the control group and exercise group. Conclusion: These findings showed that aerobic training could reduce inflammation in patients with RA and consequently plays an important role in preventing the occurrence of cardiovascular disease in these patients. In this study, Four Wave Mixing (FWM) characteristics in photonic crystal fibers are investigated. The effect of channel spacing, phase mismatching, and fiber length on FWM efficiency have been studied. The variation of idler frequency which obtained by this technique with pumping and signal wavelengths has been discussed. The effect of fiber dispersion has been taken into account; we obtain th...

Lithium is a immunomodulator that can increase immunoglobulins to confront infectious desese. It is also able to increase the production of interleukins, interferon gamma and prostaglandins. We conducted this study to evaluate the correlation between lithium consumption and humoral immunity. Blood samples were obtained from 76 patients under lithium treatment. We classified the patients accordi...

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease with several factors that contribute to its manifestation and continuation. One of the factors that initiate RA is emotional stress, which is in direct relationship with the sufficiency or insufficiency of the neuro-endocrine axis. Therefore, any stress that is not resolved in the neuro-endocrine axis might lead to RA and, ...
